AWANA

Awana Clubs are global, church-based youth ministries focused on Bible study, scripture memorization, and relational discipleship for ages 2 to 16. The name is an acronym for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed," taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. The program is structured by age group to make learning engaging and fun: 

• Cubbies (Ages 3–5): Early childhood programs centered on foundational Bible stories and basic truths. 

• Sparks (K to Grade 2): Focuses on foundational scripture memorization, Bible lessons, and games. 

• T&T (Truth & Training) (Grades 3–6): Deepens a child's understanding of God, His Word, and how it applies to their daily lives. 

• Trek (Middle & High School): Focuses on apologetics, leadership development, and withstanding life'schallenges. 

TSCAC Awana Club helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Awana Club offers a proven approach for evangelizing and disciplining kids in the church and community.  

 

Every year, TSCAC Awana Club takes place every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from October to June. 

A standard 2-hour Awana club meeting (2:00pm - 4:00pm) usually consists of four parts:  

1. Large Group Time: Engaging Bible lessons, worship, and awards. 

2. Small Group / Handbook Time: Small group discussions, prayer, and scripture recitation. Clubbers are offered personal uniforms and age-appropriate handbooks. 

3. Activity Time: High-energy, team-building games. Earn ‘Aawna Shares’ to redeem prizes at Awana Store.  

4. Snack Time: Snack sharing, fellowship  

 

Throughout the year, Awana Club organized special fun programs for clubbers and welcomed newcomers. Special programs include: 

• October/November - Autumn Festival, Thanksgiving Party 

• December - Christmas Party 

• February - Chinese New Year Celebration, Valentine's Day Party, Awana Store 

• March - March Break Pajamas Movie Party 

• May - Mother's Day special crafts 

• June - Park Day, Graduation & Award, Awana Store
